Relaxation Massage
Also known as Swedish Massage. Swedish uses a variety of long strokes, kneading, and stretching of muscles as well as locating and releasing tension (or tender) points. Swedish massage can be performed on most body parts; however, most people focus on the back and legs, with pressure ranging from gentle to deep.
Deep Tissue
Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones, and joints).
Gentle Touch
Also known as myofascial release. Very slow movement with sustained pressure allows the connective tissue in your skin to guide me. Once the connective tissue is "released," the goal is to restore motion and reduce pain. Myofascial massage is an excellent complement to other therapies. There is no massage cream used with myofascial massage.
How I Work
I practice client-centered massage. I will give you the massage you need!
Typically I use what is known as a "Structural Specific Swedish Massage." This is a combination of a variety of techniques with Swedish Massage as the foundation.
I always use fresh linens for each massage. I maintain excellent hygiene and expect the same from my clients. A shower and mouthwash are available before or after your massage.
For best results, I recommend a 75 to 90-minute massage for all my clients.
Fragrance-Free
Due to allergies, I operate in a fragrance-free workspace; please refrain from wearing colognes and essential oils. I typically use nongreasy and fragrance-free massage cream.
